Recipes . . .

I just finished reading an article in one of the on-line magazines about building a better web business. It made me feel right on track. A couple of months ago, when we finished writing I wanted the website to be more than just products. So, I added a section that included recipes and I just included a recipe for Maple Ridge Farms Ham with Raspberry Glaze in our last email newsletter. Amazingly enough, the article I just read said that at this time of year consumers are flocking to websites with recipes. They said it didn’t matter if you sold nuts and bolts or mattresses, but to add some recipes to your website and to your newsletters and your customers will love you. – I just felt like I had been validated!

We are always trying to figure out ways to attract customers to our websites. We don’t want to always try to sell you a product, but engage you in what you are passionate about and where we can contribute. Today, I added seven new recipes that are from my family’s collection. Aunts, grandmothers and my mother are all contributors to these family recipes. Many recipes are older than I am – (not telling you how old!) but I am sure it will bring back many memories of early childhood for many of you when you read through them or give them a try.

If you have a recipe that you would like to share with other Creative Expressions customers, please feel free to email us at Please put RECIPE in the subject line.

Changes… for the better

It’s been over a month since I last wrote this column. We have been spending a lot of time creating new websites and putting together an exciting new venture. There will be a lot of different things happening over the course of several months including the way we handle our advertising and our email campaigns. Changes happen all around us and sometimes you are so stuck in what you are doing at the moment that your blinders are on and you miss the bigger picture.

We are starting to look at that bigger picture and making changes to adjust to doing business in a different way. More on this as things start to heat back up. – We recently sent out postcards to showcase our three newest websites. We are very excited about them and the new ones that we will be working on over the course of the next 3-6 months. Creative Expressions is committed to customer service and product knowledge. It is very important to us to be able to help our customers find just the right item to fit their promotion, increase their brand awareness or thank their top sales people or best employees. With the economy getting so off track this past year, everyone needs a pick me up and corporate gifts, no matter how small, are the perfect fit.

Here are links to 3 different price ranges, so no matter what your budget might be, you can find a gift to thank your clients and your employees this holiday season.
