Tradeshow a Success!

We were very productive last week at the tradeshow in Las Vegas. We found many new products for our customers. And many of you took advantage of our offer to help you find new ideas and products and we were glad to be of service!

It is so important to be armed before going to a tradeshow (especially of this magnitude – over 1400 booths). There was absolutely no way we could see every booth, so having a plan in advance made the show easier to navigate and really get down to business. We divided the show up in to 3 days. The first day we highlighted all of our top preferred vendors in pink, the second day we highlighted vendors we would like to see in yellow – These were vendors that might have ideas or products that would help YOU our customer's with your upcoming events, or they might have been someone we saw at the New Product Pavillion with products that we thought would be perfect for our product selection – and the 3rd day, we highlighted in blue those vendors that were recommended to us by other distributors, or those that sent us pre-show emails about products or services that might work for us as well and those that we may have breezed by on day 1 or 2 with products that looked interesting, but were not part of the original plan.  This breakdown and following the pattern, helped us to stay on track and not get caught up in trying to see all 1400 vendors whose products might not fit our corporate image.

I have to say the best piece of advice we received prior to attending the show was a list of items to take from Cliff Quicksell, an industry veteran and trainer – he suggested taking a FlipVideo to take video’s of vendor booths and products so that they could help us sell their products on our websites. It was FABULOUS!! By Monday, you should be able to see all the videos we took on www.CEShoppes.com/video

Heading to Tradeshow – What do you need?

HEADING TO LAS VEGAS!!

Next week (January 10-16), we will be heading to Las Vegas to the largest Promotional Products Trade Show in the industry with over 1400 booths!!  While we are there, we would like to take the opportunity to help YOU with your marketing needs for this coming year.

Over the past couple of months, we are sure you have been working on your marketing plans and incentive and award ideas for 2010. If you have a list of ideas and dates, we can walk the show floor and be your eyes and ears. Give us an idea of what you need and your budget and we will look for the hottest, most creative ideas out there, just for YOU!

If you would like our help we will make it easy – Just email us: CustomerService@CEShoppes.com with a list of event dates, the theme of the event, what types of items or ideas you are looking for, quantity, budget and any other information that would be helpful to have as we are walking the tradeshow floor. Please respond prior to January 12, 2010. We will follow up with an email to let you know we received your email before we leave for the show, so you will know we will be thinking of you while we are out there.

On New Year’s Day my husband and I went to an open house party at the home of a friend we hadn’t seen in over 10 years. We’d lost track of the “old crowd” after we moved away and changed professions. However, facebook had reconnected us and we found that our friend had been having an annual New Year’s Day open house party for many years!

This was the most enjoyable way to spend the New Year. We saw old friends and business acquaintances that we hadn’t been in touch with, even on facebook. It was so much fun to see the surprised look on each of their faces when we went to greet each of these friends as they came in the door. The food was plentiful and full of good wishes – black-eyed peas, coleslaw, collard greens and more, ensuring that everyone’s New Year would be a positive and prosperous one.

I have a good feeling about 2010. Nothing but positive thoughts have been flowing through my head since that day. I have this excited, pumped up feeling ~ like you get when you have just returned from a tradeshow or education session. Thank you Frank and Fran for a wonderful start to a new decade!
