Custom Logo Full Color Beach Towels

When it comes to purchasing promotional towels, the more you know about the different types of towels available to you for promotional use, the better prepared you are to make a decision on the type of towel that will best fit your next event.

Fiber reactive beach towels are the type of towels you see at concerts and stadiums, in the big box stores and other types of fun events. They are usually full color and the ink is end to end, meaning you don’t have any pesky white borders around your towel, like you would see on regular screen printed beach towels.

The upside to Fiber reactive beach towels is that the process starts with a white towel and the color is dyed right in to the towel which allows you the vibrant colors, and the “soft to the touch” feeling that screen printing cannot give you when trying to cover a white towel with huge areas of color.
The down side to fiber reactive beach towels is that you need to have a larger lead time. Normal production runs anywhere from 90–120 days as they are printed overseas, and depending on the complexity of the project and the price, you may need to order anywhere from 600- 5000 towels.
Something interesting that can be done with fiber reactive beach towels is that after you have them produced, and have been shipped back stateside, you can “name drop” on the towels with a much lower minimum quantity. So, say you have a beach towel that you produce with the map of your town, and you have 5 locations that will be selling these same beach towels, you can “Drop in the name” of the location that will be selling the beach towels in batches, so that each locations has their own name on the towel and it now looks like the towel was produced for that location.

Another type of beach towel is a woven jacquard beach towels. These towels are similar to fiber reactive in that you can still have edge to edge color. However, woven towels are more costly than fiber reactive, but take less time to produce and have a much lower minimum. They are produced at the manufacturing level, as the logo or design is actually woven in to the towels as the towel is made. They have the look and feel of a thin blanket and are usually given as gifts, rather than as a promotion.
The upside to woven jacquard beach towels is that you can start with a simple design and a tweed effect can be added to letters or the design. Special borders can be added to the towels as well. These high end beach towels can be produced in approximately 6 weeks and can be fully personalized with an individual’s name. The minimum order is much smaller than a fiber reactive run of towels, and sometimes less than a batch of screen printed towels depending on weights and design.

For both the fiber reactive and the woven jacquards, many factory lines will have a group of stock designs for that full color look and feel. You can embroider your logo into a woven jacquard or screen print your logo on to the stock fiber reactive to make the stock design look like it is your own creation.
